Zakonov, Filip ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Author: Bc. Filip Zakonov Supervisor: PhDr. Helena Vomáčková, Ph.D. Title: Analysis of the most common injuries among the players of floorball aged 7-18 and the influence of the compensatory methods on their prevention. Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to analyse the most common injuries among young people who regularly play floorball and find out the effect of the intervention of a physiotherapist or the application of compensatory exercises in the training process on the incidence of injuries. It is also important to compare the availability of physiotherapists for individual youth teams and whether the provided care is sufficient to prevent injuries. Furthermore, the aim is to verify whether the most affected segment even among floorball youth is the ankle joint, which in studies focused on the adult category has repeatedly emerged as the most frequently injured area of all parts of the body. Moreover, my effort is to evaluate the most common causes of injuries - whether a collision with another player is more probable risk factor than an injury caused by one's own fault. Methods: The special part consists of a study that was conducted using a non- standardized questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was sent deliberately in an electronic form to all clubs in the Czech Republic via the...
Analysis and possibilities of therapy of postural functions in young hockey players
NETOLIČKOVÁ, Nela
The bachelor thesis is devoted to the possibilities of therapy of postural functions in hockey players. The aim of the thesis is to analyze possible postural deviations and their prevention at an early age and to find a combination of physiotherapeutic methods for hockey preparation. Taking into account the age of the target group, the exercise unit is designed mainly as a preventive tool. Ice hockey is one of the sports in which a unilateral load is typical, which, when exposed to this load from an early age, can lead to faulty posture and muscular imbalances. Prep hockey is open to children from 4 to 12 years old. We have to take into account the growth and further development of these children, which can be affected if the emphasis is not placed on compensation and prevention. The aim of this paper is to describe the issues related to postural function in children at the level of hockey prep. Another aim of the thesis is to compile a combination of methods and concepts as a prevention for these children. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with ice hockey as a sport, the muscular imbalances associated with this sport and the physiotherapeutic methods that can be included in training. The theoretical part serves as a basis for the practical part. The practical part includes research that took place for ten weeks with ice hockey players from SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč. It includes an initial kinesiological analysis, an exercise unit (strengthening and stretching), an output kinesiological analysis and a questionnaire completed at the end of the research. Follow-up meetings and therapy took place according to the probands' abilities every week. From the results we can conclude that mainly stretching, but also strength training has a positive impact on the posture of the participating boys. Some imbalances were compensated and the deep stabilization system was activated. This work is suitable for review by physiotherapists with an interest in sports, hockey coaches, hockey players or the general public.
Possibilities of Physiotherapy for Irish Dancers
MIKEŠOVÁ, Nikola
This bachelor thesis explores the possibilities of physiotherapy for Irish dancers. Irish dance is a folkloric dance originating from Ireland. It has developed into a competitive sport where there is a strong emphasis on technical dance execution and posture (Wallace, 2020). The dance is performed on tiptoe in shoes with minimal support. Typically, there is rapid alternation of the lower limbs and high lunges with impact on the extended lower limb in plantar flexion. Starting dance positions with the right lower limb extended in front of the body and the weight on the left lower limb place high demands on the dancers' musculoskeletal system, putting them at risk of injury (Buck, 2012). The first aim of this research was to describe musculoskeletal difficulties of Irish dancers. The second aim was to design compensatory exercises based on the described difficulties and the third aim was to evaluate the results of the applied compensatory exercises on the musculoskeletal system of Irish dancers. The theoretical part summarizes the history of Irish dance, Irish dance music, types of dance and dance shoes. The specifics of Irish dance, the most common injuries of Irish dancers, and the ideal structure of dance training are described. Methods that can be used in therapy are also mentioned. The practical part took the form of qualitative research with 3 probands, non-professional Irish dancers. The results are presented in the form of case studies, where an initial kinesiological examination was performed on all probands and therapy was proposed, which took the form of 8 individual therapies and home self-therapy for 3 months. Subsequently, an exit kinesiological examination was performed and the results of the research were evaluated by comparison with the entry kinesiological examination. It was found that the most problematic parts of the Irish dancers were weakened hip stabilizers, insufficient trunk stabilization, insufficient activation of the foot muscles and weakened lower scapular fixators. The thesis can be used as an informative and educational material for dancers and trainers of Irish dance, or for the public interested in this issue.

Relationship between long-term compensatory exercise intervention and strength-speed parameters in young football players
Pavlík, Michael ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Relationship between long-term compensatory exercise intervention and strength- velocity parameters in young football players Objectives: Based on the diagnostic examination, compile a compensation program for the intervened group in order to improve the functional state of the locomotor apparatus and monitor whether this intervention is reflected in the performance in the given motor tests that test the strength-speed abilities of the players Methods: The "20-m linear sprint test" was used to measure linear speed and acceleration, which was measured using time photocells (Witty Timing System). In this test, the average times of all groups were monitored at distances of 5, 10, 20 m. Furthermore, with the help of photocells, a 505 agility test was measured to determine the speed of the players' change of direction. The last test was "Standing broad/long jump" measured by the method (Laser-method measurement SDJ) using a laser optical range finder (Mestek GR20). To determine the normality of the data, the Shapiro-Wilk test was used, the results of which do not reject the normality of the data. For statistical analysis was used paired T-test data between individual measurements in individual groups. MS Excel and Jamovi software were used for recording data and their subsequent analysis....
Možnosti kompenzace svalových dysbalancí způsobených jízdou na koni u hobby jezdců
VYDLÁKOVÁ, Klára
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of influencing muscle imbalances occurring in hobby horse riders. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to summarize and describe the most common muscle imbalances that occur in horse riders and also to suggest possible influences on these imbalances. These two objectives were achieved in the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis. The third and fourth objectives were to design a suitable exercise unit and also to evaluate its effect. This objective is already related to the practical part of this bachelor thesis, the actual research. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical research. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about muscle imbalances, the riding seat, its errors and compensatory exercises. The practical part is devoted to the description of the research that was conducted. It also includes the actual exercise unit constructed from the described methods. The research itself was conducted in the form of qualitative research and involved a total of 4 probands. All of these probands signed an informed consent to undertake the research, which is available for inspection by the author of this thesis, as well as the consent of the riding club in which the probands ride. The research begins with a questionnaire and baseline examination to help determine the muscular imbalances that are present in the riders. Based on these examinations, an appropriate exercise unit was then designed and its effect was further monitored. Two exercise units were actually designed. The main exercise unit was designed for home-based exercise, which probands performed at least 4 times a week. The secondary exercise unit was aimed directly at the pre- and post-riding periods. The designed exercise unit consisted of a total of 12 exercises that focused primarily on activating the HSSP, stretching shortened muscles, and strengthening weakened muscles. The research lasted for two months, during which time the probands underwent a total of 4 exercise unit checks. The conclusion of the thesis and the discussion summarises all the findings that have been identified through this undergraduate research. The thesis can be useful as a source of information for all hobby riders and physiotherapists who encounter this issue.
Analysis and possibilities of therapy of postural functions in long jumpers
NIKODEMOVÁ, Nela
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and possibilities of therapy of postural functions in long jumpers. The aim of this thesis is to describe the issues of movement stereotypes and postural system occurring among long jumpers. Another aim is to design and implement compensatory exercises with the aim of therapy of these disorders. In the theoretical part, the concept of postural stability and related concepts are explained. Then, the postural system and the anatomy of the lower limb are briefly described. Last but not least, the long jump, its history, technique and training of this discipline are described. Furthermore, the most common disorders of the postural system and the physiotherapeutic procedures used in the therapy are mentioned. In the practical part, the methods used to collect data are described. Furthermore, the practical part consists of case studies of three probands aged 14 and 15 years who are actively involved in long jump. Each proband underwent an initial kinesiological examination, according to which a short-term rehabilitation plan was designed. The research was conducted over a 10week period in which each proband completed 10 therapy sessions. At the end of the research, probands underwent an exit kinesiology examination. I compared the results from both examinations with each other. The data collected was then used to create a manual summarizing recommended compensatory exercises for long jumpers. The examinations revealed certain areas where probands consistently had similar pathologies. These areas included the shoulder girdle, pelvis, thoracic and lumbar spine, anterior and posterior thigh muscles, knees and ankle joints. Insufficiency of the deep stabilization system also proved to be a very common pathology. The probands also showed some differences between the rebounding and non-rebounding lower limb. This work can serve both physiotherapists in their work with these athletes or coaches and athletes themselves as educational material.
Strength training in bodybuilding from the perspective of a physiotherapist
HOJDAROVÁ, Ema
This bachelor thesis focuses on strength training in bodybuilding from the perspective of a physiotherapist, with the aim of providing a useful guide for physiotherapists and bodybuilders for safe and effective strength training. The thesis provides an overview of various aspects of strength training, such as physiological and biomechanical factors, training structure, recovery, and special attention is given to exercise technique, strength training methods, and recommended procedures for minimizing the risk of injury. Another part of this thesis evaluates selected strength exercises and their impact on the health of bodybuilders, as well as the benefits these exercises can bring. In addition, various widely spread myths in the field of strength training are discussed. The main goal of the thesis is to map common mistakes in performing strength exercises, introduce physiotherapy as a prevention of functional disorders and injuries in fitness bodybuilding, and observe changes in muscle imbalances after correcting exercise mistakes. The practical part of the thesis was conducted in the form of qualitative research based on input and output case studies of three subjects, including kinesiological analysis, dynamic spine tests, Trendelenburg test, Adams' forward bend test, examination of selected shortened muscles according to Janda, selected movement stereotypes according to Janda, selected tests from the DNS concept, photographic comparison, and examination on a posturography device. This provided data, which is presented and compared in the Results chapter. Based on the data obtained from the initial examinations of the subjects, a compensatory training unit was developed, which the subjects trained with. The results of the research should serve, among other things, as a presentation of the benefits of cooperation between a physiotherapist and an athlete.
Možnosti kompenzačního cvičení pro mladé hráče softballu do 20 let
ABBRENTOVÁ, Tereza
The bachelor thesis "Possibilities of compensatory exercises for young softball players under the age of 20" scrutinises the most common muscle imbalances deals with softball players and and how they can be dealt with through compensatory exercises. Athletes are often subject to high demands and excellent performance and results. For this reason, they often do only unilateral sports and have other exersises. However, long-term unilateral burden without proper compensation has detrimental effect on the individual's musculoskeletal system. One of the many examples of asymmetric load is softball. The first goal of this bachelor thesis was to map the most common muscle imbalances occurring in young softball players. The second goal was to create an educational brochure containing compensatory exercises. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical characterizes softball, overloaded structures and the most common injuries. Furthermore, it maps the possibilities of compensatory exercises. The practical part took place in the form of qualitative research and includes case studies of four softball players under the age of 20. Compensatory exercises were compiled on the basis of anamnesis and kinesiological analysis. The foundation of the exercise unit was very similar very similar, some exercises were added individually according to the needs of the proband. After 2-3 months of regular exercise, the results were evaluated using a kinesiological analysis that included the same tests as at the beginning. Subsequently, the results were compared and the effect of therapy was evaluated. This thesis can serve as a source of information on the most common functional problems that young softball players usually encounter. Furthermore, it can also serve as an educational material for softball players and coaches.
The effect of compensatory exercise and stretching on posture and recovery of ice-hockey players
SPILKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the effect of compensatory exercise and stretching on postural stability and recovery of ice hockey players. It was designed as a mixed form of research. There were two objectives of the research - the first objective was to describe the effect of compensatory exercise on the posture of ice hockey players. The second aim was to describe the effect of stretching on the recovery of ice hockey players. Ice hockey players often have muscle imbalances and poor posture. Since ice hockey is a unilateral sport, this lateral preference negatively affects the posture of the player. During the game, high demands are made both mentally and physically, which affects the ability to recover. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis describes the knowledge related to the characteristics of ice hockey, basic human anatomy, compensatory exercises and their types, as well as the posture, the distribution of stretching and recovery and its types. The theoretical part served as a literary and theoretical basis for the practical part. In the practical part of the thesis, a mixed research was developed. This research was carried out with probands for 3 months in the premises of the Sedlčany Winter Stadium and in the players' home environment. In the practical part, a kinesiological analysis (entry, control, exit) and six compensatory exercise therapy sessions were carried out, exercise units of dynamic and static stretching was developed, questionnaires on players' stretching and questionnaires on Borg scale of subjective effort targeted on exercise units of stretching were collected. From the results of the research, it was found that compensatory exercise positively affects the posture of ice hockey players and stretching has a positive effect on the recovery of ice hockey players within their performance. From the Borg scale questionnaires, a decreasing trend of expended effort was found for most of the exercises of the dynamic and static stretching exercise units. This thesis can also serve physiotherapists, ice hockey coaches or the general public interested in similar issues.
